Handyman Pours Dish Soap Into Toilet – When He Shows Why? – I Ran To Try It!
logged toilet can be a really tricky problem especially if you don’t have a plunger or you’re too disgusted at the mere idea of using it. But do not worry; we have a perfect solution from Brit at Build TV, which isn’t 100% effective each time but many people have said it does wonders for them in tight situations. The solution from Brit is to use dish soap but some say that liquid detergent is even more effective.
This is how you can unclog your toilet without using a plunger:
First, you need to pour a good amount of liquid soap into your toiled bowl (about ½ a cup). This trick will work because soap is denser and heavier than water. It should drop to the bottom of the bowl.
Then, leave the liquid dish soap to sit in the bowl for 30 minutes. In that time, the dish soap will seep into the clog, lubricating the trap way.
After 30 minutes, you need to fill up a container with some hot water and pour it into the toilet bowl. You need to be sure not to overflow the toilet bowl with too much water. Slowly, the clog should work its way up.
This method may now work for all clogs, but people who have tried this trick reported success by repeating the steps one and three. So, if you don’t un-clog your toilet with the first attempt, you should try it couple more times. It should work! Some people also said that they did this trick at night and in the morning the clog was all gone.
