A young girl recently told law enforcement officials that she lost her virginity at the hands of her pastor, who sexually violated her on her father’s grave when she was only nine-years-old. She shared details of how Mack Charles Andrews, clergy member of the conservative United Pentecostal Church in Thomasville, had groomed her for two long years before finally having intercourse with her.

“He told me if I didn’t say anything, he would come back and put flowers on the grave,” she said. “If I did, he said demons would come and get me from my bed.”

The girl now hopes that 55-year-old Andrews, who has already been jailed for two years on various charges of sex offences with multiple minors, will spend the rest of his life in prison.

“My ex-pastor is my rapist,” she told the media.

Andrews was taken into custody on October 3, 2013 on several counts of sexual abuse, rape, attempted rape, sexual torture and sodomy. He is currently being held at Clarke County Jail on a $500,000 bond.

Police officials in Thomasville had filed warrants at the time of Andrew’s arrest, outlining umpteen charges of the abuse faced by multiple minors during the late 80s and early 90s. According to one of the warrants, the girl in question was subjected to sexual torture in September 1988, when Andrews used pens, drumsticks, letter openers, a figurine and a flashlight even to violate her. According to the victim, he did this ritualistically to prepare her for the rape he was going to carry out two years later.

“A 7-year-old girl isn’t ready to take a full grown man,” she said. “ He started grooming me early.”

Warrants filed by the police in 2013 narrate the stories of four other victims. In January 1990, Andrews allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl, before raping another two months later. In 1994, he allegedly raped a 16-year-old girl, whom he had been preparing since she was seven-years-old.

District attorney Spencer Walker said that he knows of nine such victims.

“I don’t have any indication there are others, but it is possible,” Walker said.

If convicted, Andrews would be sentenced for life.
