The diet we’re about to share is called the Lightening diet and it comprises of complete elimination of carbs but keeps all the other essential nutrients in its regimen. It’s perfect for people who have digestive problems as well as for those who suffer from various skin conditions.

The most important thing is to drink lots of water while you eat and limit your salt intake to minimum. You could also try to replace salt with herbs and other spices and use those in your salads and other meals instead. MONDAY

Breakfast: 1 orange (can be grapefruit, peach, pineapple or other fruit, except bananas), 2 crackers (whole wheat or cereals), coffee or tea without sugar.

Lunch: 1 orange, 1 boiled egg, yogurt.

Dinner: 2 boiled eggs, 2 tomatoes, 500g vegetable salad, 2 cookies.

TUESDAY

Breakfast: similar to breakfast on Monday.

Lunch: 1 orange, 1 boiled egg, yogurt, 2 crackers.

Dinner: 120 grams of meat (preferably beef), 1 tomato, 1 cookie.

WEDNESDAY

Breakfast: similar to Monday.

Lunch: 1 orange, 1 boiled egg, yogurt, and vegetable salad.

Dinner: 120 grams of beef, 1 orange, 1 cookie, coffee or tea

THURSDAY

Breakfast: similar to Monday.

Lunch: 120 grams of low – fat cheese or cottage cheese, 1 tomato, 1 cookie.

Dinner: 120 grams of meat, 2 tomatoes, 1 apple, 1 cookie

FRIDAY

Breakfast: similar to breakfast on Monday.

Lunch: 200 grams of steamed fish, 1 tomato, 1 cookie.

Dinner: 500 grams of boiled or steamed vegetables (carrots, onions, cabbage, potatoes, beans), 1 boiled egg, 1 tomato.

On the weekends you can eat as you normally do just remember not to overdo it, steer clear of alcohol and processed foods and reduce the salt intake.

It’s recommended that you follow this eating regimen for 3 consecutive weeks and you’ll see amazing results. If you feel like you need some more pounds shedding repeat the diet after a short break. Once you are satisfied with the results you can return to your normal eating habits, having in mind that you have to lead a healthy lifestyle if you want to be healthy. After you’ve finished dieting, once a week, preferably on Mondays, eat the following menu if you want to preserve your ideal weight:

Breakfast: 2 glasses of water with lemon juice.

Lunch: 1 boiled egg, 1 biscuit, 1 tomato, 1 block.

Dinner: 1 boiled egg, 1 biscuit, 1 tomato.
