Music is a powerful force. I’ve been a musician for most of my life. As a small child I preferred to play the guitar or the tuba, but recently I’ve switched to just beating on the floor rhythmically. Humans aren’t the only ones who feel a special connection to music, though. Animals can be just as engaged by songs, tunes, and melodies.

There’s a special park that understands this. It’s the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, Thailand. There they have a special caretaker named Lek who shows up to sing to the elephants. All of the elephants respond to this in their own way, but Faa Mai has the most intense reaction. Watch this amazing interaction between music and elephants in the video below.
